Did you know that the first race took place in 1929 and this year we will attend its 81st edition that will be held from May 23th to 26th 2024. The Monaco Grand Prix is considered as one of the most prestigious Formula 1 races in the world. The competition takes place every year on the last weekend of May in the streets of Monte-Carlo, in the Principality of Monaco.
The event will take place as follows:
- Thursday, May 23: Formula 2 Trials
- Friday, May 24: Formula 1 Trials
- Saturday, May 25: Qualifications
- Sunday, May 26: Final Race
The Monaco Grand Prix is legendary for several reasons. First of all, the circuit is one of the slowest, it is very narrow and has many sharp turns, which makes the race difficult for the drivers.
The glamorous side of the event is also for something. Monaco is known for luxury and during the Grand Prix there are the most beautiful yachts in the world, the latest luxury cars, and many celebrities come from all over the world to attend the event.
The Red Bull-sponsored Max Verstappen won the Grand Prix in 2023. The Dutchman finished ahead of Fernando Alonso’s Aston Martin and Esteban Ocon’s Alpine.
